Macey's Case Lot Sale

Maceys Grocery Store is currently having its Case Lot Sale. It usually runs at least 2 weeks. Canned goods are great for your 3 - 6 month food storage items. As our Prophet has told us, begin your food storage efforts with items your family will eat. Shelf-life on this product is generally about 5 years unless you can keep the product at a temperature of 75 degrees or less, and then you will extend the shelf-life by 3-5 years. Items on the Case Lot Sale are generally priced very well.

As an additional part of the sale, Maceys is offering sales pricing on the product in their Emergency Preparedness Department, which includes Dry Pack product in both bags, pails, and cans. Generally, the cheapest place to buy dry pack/bulk product is the Lindon Cannery, however, you will notice on the attached excel spread sheet that Maceys' sale price on both bulk sugar and flour is cheaper than the Cannery's.

Maceys #10 Can product can add a nice variety to the flavor and texture of your "hard core" food storage meals. Items such as Honey, Sour Cream, Margarine, Cheese Blend, Dried Eggs, Chopped Onions, Beef--Chicken--and Taco Meat, Chili--Stew--and Potato Soup Mix, plus a nice representation of fruits and vegetables can really brighten up what would normally be a rather bland diet.

Maceys also offers dry pack in #10 Cans, as does the Cannery. If you would like to price compare additional items Maceys offers versus the Church Cannery, please go to www.providentliving.org. Choose Family Home Storage on the left-hand side; Home Storage Center Order Form on the right-hand side; Home Storage Order Form--United States in the middle of the page. Product is listed by No. 10 Can, Pouch, and Bulk.

Additional items that are priced well are Maceys white 5-gallon food storage buckets at $3.99, and their 55-gallon blue water barrels at $39.99.

Now is a good time to buy, if your family finances are such that you can. Food prices are higher now than they used to be, however, market analysts tell us that later in the year, food prices are likely to climb much higher. Don't go into debt to obtain your food storage. Just be consistent and tenacious every time you go to the grocery store or Cannery. You will be blessed for your efforts!
