There you will see exactly what will be asked of you, you will answer a few questions about your overall health and history. Then they will send a packet in the mail with instructions. You will swab the inside of your mouth and send them back. This will put you in the registry so that they can match you to someone who needs a transplant... it may be for platelets or bone marrow. It is Free to do, and will never require you to pay, although they do ask for a donation which is completely optional!!
